WarnerMedia dropped a megaton bomb today with a surprise list of new and returning shows for Cartoon Network / HBO Max within the coming year. As the slash implies, the cable channel and the streaming service will be sharing a lot of the announced content, though it isn’t clear in every case where each show will appear first.

INFINITY TRAIN BOOK FOUR: We can exhale now. For the past few months the only thing we knew about this was that Owen Dennis was begging people to watch the show on HBO Max or it would be cancelled. The show was meant for Max and officially moved there last year, so…don’t count on this miracle season showing up on CN.

TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND: This show will never die. Two new seasons are now in production, same crew, but possibly different characters, if “an updated cast of quirky, iconic teen contestants” means what we think it does. No Gwen? BOO!

JADE ARMOR: Here’s an original series we haven’t seen before, though it may remind you of all the kung-fu related cartoons that appeared in the 2000s. Lan Jun is a teenage martial arts expert who discovers her family’s powerful ancient secrets. Features an all-female development team.

THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL – THE MOVIE: Guess that fakeout tease on the show itself wasn’t lying. Please let this not be a clip show like the specials have been.

TEEN TITANS GO: THE NIGHT BEGINS TO SHINE: When I look at this, I see the story in its eyes..and I wonder if there’s enough there to support an entire spinoff. Or is it? WB confusingly describes it as a “series” but the plot sounds like a special: “Robin, Raven, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Starfire journey back to the world of Night Begins to Shine when the musical land falls victim to a sinister new threat. Together the Titans must protect the only key to the world’s salvation, a magical mixtape.”

BEN 10 SPECIALS: Who will live longer — Ben 10 or Total Drama Island? Ben is a few years ahead of TDI and can’t stop transforming into new versions of itself. Three specials are scheduled to appear starting this April: Ben 10000, where a future Ben who can turn into thousands of aliens recruits regular ol’ Ben 10 from the past because 10,000 transformations isn’t enough….Ben Gen 10, where he meets Generator Rex….and Alien X-Tinction, which is Into The Spider-Verse but with all the versions of Ben instead.

TWEETY MYSTERIES: Sylvester got cancelled for one too many inappropriate messages on social media, so this new Tweety-related mystery series will just focus on the bird. In place of Granny is “a curious tween investigative journalist and podcaster named Sydney” who teams up with Tweety to solve crimes in their small Washington town. No word if Cool Cat will be returning.

Renewals include Craig of the Creek (Season Four), Victor and Valentino (Season Three) and the yet-to-appear Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai (Season Two). Oh yeah, and Infinity Train, thought I thought that bore mentioning up front.
